This I/O Option is an Unswitched/Unblocked Bidirectional Copper Connection to each Blade Server and delivers additional flexibility in Data Center Network Architectures. The IBM EServer BladeCenter Chassis (86773XX) supports installation of I/O Modules that enable it to communicate with external resources. The Module Option provides an unconfigured network connection that enables the Blade Servers in the BladeCenter Chassis to connect to an existing network infractructure. No configuration of the Copper Pass-Thru Module is required.
